That's just great! Did you read "today's" article in "Der Tag", posted at

and are you aware, that it's exactly Walter Neuberger, who paid a visit in Czernowitz in November 1934 and gave an interview to "Der Tag"? As aboard ship commissioner [Bordkommissär] of the first palestinian shipping line "Palestine Maritime Lloyd Ltd. Haifa", Walter was the very first Jewish officer of this line and responsable for the passanger service and the police and customs control. Please check the article for more details!

In case there are descendants of Walter, I think they would love to get these data too!
