Czernowitzers...

we learn that the Palestine Maritime Lloyd launched its maritime traffic
between Haifa and Constantza - via Istanbul - in 1934:

http://ehpes.com/blog1/2012/11/05/palestine-maritime-lloyd/

The company and its two ships (S. S. Mount Zion & S. S. Mount Carmel) were
Jewish owned and operated under these principles: "The company [would]
involve itself in the process of the building of the country; Company must
be owned by Jewish interests; Ships will be under 'Hebrew' flag; Crews will
be Jewish; Ships will be supplied by local products."

Enjoy the coverage and the expressive posters, photographs and documents!
