My cousin Walter Neuberger was the first purser of "Zim",and I am wondering
if he got his experience at sea with this company?? Any info very welcome!

we learn that the Palestine Maritime Lloyd launched its maritime traffic
between Haifa and Constantza - via Istanbul - in 1934:

The company and its two ships (S. S. Mount Zion & S. S. Mount Carmel) were
Jewish owned and operated under these principles: "The company [would]
involve itself in the process of the building of the country; Company must

be Jewish; Ships will be supplied by local products."
