Maybe they are not subscribers of "Die Stimme", or former pupils (or the
descendants) of "Meisler" or "Aaron Pumnul" but they are Jews who are
interested to define themselves as Jews and organize a local Jewish
community. I think it should be in our (especially those belonging to the
dwindling number of the "originals") interest that they should include in
their activities the preservation of the tradition and the history of the
community in what you may call "the days gone by". If I may talk about
myself, as one who researches and writes the history of his family the most
important issue is this preservation and maintenance of the cemetery on
Zelena street. Especially considering the fact that one Jewish cemetery
(kaliczanker/steilgasse) has already been razed.
