Re: [Cz-L] Dead & Gone - Update November 1934

The list of dead and gone for Nov. 1934 includes some names
which lead me ask questions about the population of Czernowitz;
Two surnames are Italian, Canano and Malancioni.
Were there Italians in Czernowitz?
Two people have Romanian first names, but Ukrainian surnames;
Dr. Ionel Kalinczuk and Dumitriu Onofreiczuk.
Were they from mixed Romanian and Ukrainian couples?
One person has a Hebrew surname, which I never heard before; Pilpel.
Had he changed it from Pfefer? And if so, out of Zionism?
One person only has one name, Sorda. who was he?
Jakob Kahane may be one of my relatives, I'll have to check.
