[Cz-L] Terente king of the moors

As the Danube nears Braila it forms a series of islands - the Danube moors.
  In the 1920 it also had a king.
    Terente - Regele Baltzilor - King of the swamps.
The man nicknamed Terente was a bandit ,robber ,rapist, and an
expert in the swamp islands of the Danube south of Braila where he hid.
 One day he kidnapped two virgins creating a great panic.
 The public and the press were frantic.
  There was a ballad composed for this occasion to be sung at
  the Titina Chaplin tune..
    The younger girls (17) name was was Didina :
„Terente si Didina
Se plimba cu masina,
La orice cotitura
Mananc-o prajitura.
Didina s-a-necat,
Terente s-a-mpuscat
( Terente and Didina , are going in a car, at every bend they eat a cake
   Didina drowned and Ternte shot himself.)
    After a week he released the gir;ls withou harm.
   His last deed was when he broke into a priests house wounded the priest
   and raped his wife.
    The next day a patrol spotted him in a boat and shot him dead age 27.
