Hello, Jeanette...i think you and I have been in contact because our names =
showed up on each others' DNS results....As I may have mentioned, my patern=
al grandfather grew up in Czernowitz, although he listed his birthplace as =
"Zagar".......His brothers and sister were born in Czernowitz...The last na=
me was Meier, and grandpa's first name was Joseph, born in 1886.
Joseph's father, my great-grandfather, is listed in various records as "Isr=
ael Meier" "Schruel Meier" and "Solomon Meier".
Joseph's mother was Leah Pilpil (although Pilpil MAY have been the name of =
her first husband)
I know almost nothing about these relatives, and even less about my paterna=
l grandMOTHER, also from Czernowitz, Rosa Barth.
This probably won't help, but hope it does....I would certainly love to kno=
w more about my family. I have even been to Czernowitz/Cernivtsi.
