Dear Ezra,

Even if the only result of Christian's travel log would be your sensitive inauguration posting to the group, it would be already an achievement. Welcome to the List!

In fact, Christian's chronicles of his journey are much, much more than that. They are - as Bruce mentioned a few days ago - "amazing, insightful, and illuminating", for me the only forward oriented way to "deal" with the terrible heritage of the Holocaust in Central and Eastern Europe. Jewishness will never be the same as before, but nevertheless the sprouts of a Jewish revival in that region make themselves felt.

Thank you so much, Ezra, but thank you - first of all - Christian!
