Hava Nagila is not Leonard Bernstein.
It is probably from the Sadagora Hassidim who sang it
while awaiting their meal. Clapping the empty cups on
the table - no lyrics.
"Dai- dai, dai-dudel dai - dai ".
A made up ceremonial of hungry Yeshive Buchers.
The words came much later in Palestine.
