Hi, Dr.Silvia Balan was the directrice of the Lyzeum LF2 in the
Landhausgasse, also named die "Balan Schule"

Dear All
Yesterday while congratulating my cousin Erica Birenbaum (born as Erica
Wachtel), on her 85th birthday the name of her Czernowitzer school came up.
>From what I could understand from the long distance call to Uruguay the name
of the school sounded like "BARAN" or "VARAN". I for one have never heard of
such a name, but Erica is my senior, so maybe some of you can enlighten me
on this name?
