According to Radu Ioanid, in his book "The Holocaust in Romania"
In Milievo, formerly named Milie, nearly the entire Jewish population
of the village and also some Czernowitzers who had fled to the village,
believing it to be a safer place, was murdered on July 5th 1941
by local Ukrainians. The number of the victims was between 110 and 180.

In very many of the villages around Czernowitz there are no marked
graves
of the victims of massacres and certainly no monuments.
