No, the recording was made (as far as we know) WITH KNOWING AND CONSENT, but this happened in 1958. A decade later, at the end of the sixties, Paul Celan didn't appreciate at all the "inflationary distribution" of "Todesfuge" for a vast number school-books, anthologies and memorials and so he most probably would not have agreed to a recording any more.

Sorry for confusion!
