Hi Mordecai
Thanks for responding. I was more curious than expecting to collect any data.
My father grew up in Czernowitz so I was just wondering what childhood books I would have read, had he transmitted his German, which unfortunately he didn't.
Best regards
Helene

I, for instance, read in addition Andersen's tales, Robinson Crusoe, Karl Mai and the whole Nibelungen saga - these could not affect my relation to the family. What did affect it was the attitude of my parents and my other relatives that was typical of the close-knit Jewish society, living in a small town, close to each other.
