Hello:=0A=0AI am new to doing genealogy research.=A0 What I know so far is =
that my grandfather (on my father's side) came to the US in 194.=A0 His nam=
e Is listed as Arnold Wexler and his wife was listed as Regina Bleicher Wex=
ler.=A0 They had two children at the time, Leon and Blime (Betty).=A0 My fa=
ther was born in the US in 1918 (Morton).=A0 They indicated that they were =
coming to stay with my great grandfather' Nathan Bleicher in New York.=A0=
=A0Itindicates that Regina, Leon and Blime=A0were born in Czernowitz.=A0 It=
 shows that my grandfather was born in Storojinet.=A0 The year of birth for=
 both my grandparents was around 1875.=A0 =0A=0AI was interested in the com=
ment made by Mimi earlier today in another post:=0A=0AToday, July 4th is Am=
erican independence day, but it is also=0Athe anniversary of the occupation=
 of Storojinet by Romanian troops=0Ain 1941 and the massacre of about 200 J=
ewish people by these troops.=0A=0ATo the extent that any of my grandfather=
's relative stayed behind between the wars, I assume they were part of this=
 massacre.=A0 I would greatly appreciate any information and/or research ad=
