Dear Ruth,

I had the privilege to read Simon Geissbühler's book "Blutiger Juli" through and comment on an earlier draft. You'll find below weblinks to three articles on Simon's book, one of them in English, but let me reproduce to you, what I wrote to Simon upon the book publication:

"Considering the painful subject and the scanty evidence, you have done an amazing job in tracing back the crimes, committed by Romanians and Ukrainians in the rural Bukovinian and Bessarabian areas during the Romanian Holocaust. You may be certain, that your children and grandchildren will be very proud on you some day."

Of course, this book is not all-encompassing, but it's an excellent starting point for further researches, as suggested by Simon himself. And now, as promised, the weblinks to the book reviews:
