I was planning to wait to contact Kate, until after the project ended,
thinking she must be very busy at the moment. But since you heard back so
quickly, Sylvia, perhaps I won't wait.

On a different subject entirely, I am wondering what anyone might be able
to tell me about Mordke Schaekter, the Yiddish scholar, and his family. His
widow lives in the same assisted living facility in New York as my 89 year
old mother, they are tablemates in the dining room. I see her about once a
month when I visit. Just looked him up on Wikipedia and discovered that he's
from Czernowitz.

One interesting thing I do know about him is that all sixteen of their
grandchildren speak Yiddish!
