Dear Edgar,

Thank you for telling us what you see on your way to Czernowitz.
It is always interesting and instructive.
The Bukovina is lovely!
On my last trip I went from Lviv to Czernowitz and back by car.
I could favorably compare the Bukovina Landscape to the one of Galicia.

In this particular case, of the temple in Saveni being for sale,
I am curious who is selling it.
Most of us would agree that a municipality has the right to sell
a building which is abandoned and for which no one pays property
municipal taxes.
But...
By right this temple belongs to the Greater Jewish community of Romania.

If they are the ones who are selling the building, it is not unusual.
If they are not the ones who are selling the building, why not?
Does anyone know?

Mimi
