Mircea Streinul was an active "legionar", (member of the Iron Guard). I read
the quoted paragraph it is obviously very anti-russian and anti-communist.
The main culprits in Cz, all had Jewish names and a ex-seminarian by the the
name of Ierichon, who sided with the new masters, was identified as formerly
named Iampolski (a typical Jewish name in Russia). The virulent style is
typical of the time the books were published: 1942, before the battle of
Stalingrad. That would explain the mention of Transnistria considered part
of Romania.
