The video tells the story of the Jews in general.
And what the new generation of Czernovichans knows about them.( nothing ,so
it seems).
It does not touch the story of Czernowitzer Jews.
    Who once ruled the town.
I would ask: Did you know that the Jews were the biggest minority in town
?
This video was on German TV.
Does the story interest German audiences ?
How much Ukrainean youngsters know about Judaism.
    What it means being Jewish.
Defined by a old Jew according to rules of the Book.
According to these I am a very bad Jew.
Like most of the Czernowitzer Jews I know,
Hardy

It is interesting & sad to listen about the disapearance of the Czernowitzer
Jewry us
being the leftovers. The narations seem very timid as no one can realy tell
the story as it was.
Most are newcomers to the city & much is said about assumptions. The younger
generation of Ukrainians see the past Czernowitzer as a no subject mater. As
for the older generation the grains of anti Semitism, I think, are still
albeit in a dormant state. The fact is there is a pitifull minority of Jews
for the original Czernowitzers like us are on the way out. What I think is
the interviewers see a city & buildings that do tell a story of a once
vibrant city where industry, culture, & a way of life the like of a capital
city abounded. The original inhabitants disappeared it does arouse
curiosity. I like the idea of these interviews.
