Not really, Yosef. The definition I gave you fits and is still primarily
geographical.

"Heartland Bukovina
German-Jewish poetry from Eastern Europe in Ariowitsch House

On 20 March is the Leipzig professor Klaus Werner by 19 clock insights into
the extraordinary German-Jewish poetry from Eastern Europe. Bukovina was
Austrian crown land, belonged to Romania and later was divided between
Romania and the Soviet Union and the Ukraine. Its capital Czernowitz was
many literary figures and writers a place of residence. From the province
itself come Schriftsteller innen and humanities professionals who afterwards
worked outside their home space and, exile due, not infrequently through an
odyssey - including the beru ยจ FAMOUS poet Paul Celan and poet Rose
Auslander, the psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich and the cultural critic Erwin
Chargaff. Nature and landscape poetry, the Holocaust and seal the fate of
Czernowitz Autorinnen are focal points of the lecture. "

In both definitions, the Heartland is Czernowitz/Bukovina. (Note my prior
definition in English - The central point of an activity or country.)
