*/Sehr geehrte Hedwig,
/*/Danke viel Mal für Deinen Beitrag zum Thema "Ukrainer" des Zweiten
Weltkrieges.
Alles Gute,
Wolf.

Translation:

*Dear Hedwig,
*Thank you very much for your contribution to the subject of " The
Ukrainian" from WWII.
My parents and myself lived at that time on the Masarykgasse. I to could
tell a few things about these events but the memories are to painful.
On the Czernowitzer list are a few, very eager Besserwissers (know-all)
which from time to time try to impress, a bit to much with their
"encyclopaedic" knowledge .
Corrections are needed in order to help present the real realities to
the coming generations.
All the best,
Wolf [Terner]

*PS: *For those who would like to deepen their knowledge on this
subject I recommend the very serious researches made by father Patrick
Desbois who investigated different known and previously unknown
locations in Ukraine and Bukovina, spoke with still living Ukrainian
witnesses (on video), made archaeological findings on execution spots,
collected "souvenir" photos taken by the SS and their Ukrainian
volunteer units. The material has been presented in a travelling
exhibition and collected in a book. I am sure that many will find, in
this book, locations related to their own history. The videotaped
conversations and the photos are not easy to see.
