The costumes of the Romanians, Ruthenians and Hutzuls are correctly
portrayed.
Romanian women wore the heavy woolen woven skirt and the shoes
with upturned front points. The men wore white linen trousers.
The Ruthenian women wore boots to protect their feet from the
"Bloteh" (mud)
and the woven apron or skirt was worn over the long white shift.
The Hutzul women wore similar skirts to the ones worn by the Ruthenians
and shoes similar to those worn by the Romanians.
No need for boots in the mountains.
