Pulling the heavy carriage up the slope the two black Belgian horses were
sweating profusely.
The slope was getting steeper and Moishe the balegule got off ,
he never used his whip.
He just spoke to his horses.
Both of his horses understood Yiddish.
The slope flattened and the Ham came in sight,
The water of the artesian fountain flowed down into the trough
Fresh,drinking water,
Moishe removed the harnesses and let the loshekes drink.
Today no more Ham. No more water. The uptowners drink it all.
Just an intersection with a shield in Yiddish and Ukrainean:
" Here in 1941 was a Jewish Ghetto ..."
