I have not seen this type of screen for years!! I do not exactly go to shul
that often..but I have been to several lLondon ones and one in Vienna. No
wood strips,just a balcony-type thing. Cornel

The women can look through the spaces between the wood strips, and see the
men quite clearly, that is why the men walk around and toss their
prayer-shawls around their shoulders.
But all the men can see of the women, are shadows.
