Not so! The women sit behind a "Mechitzah" (screen of crossed wood
strips)
The women can look through the spaces between the wood strips,
and see the men quite clearly, that is why the men walk around
and toss their prayer-shawls around their shoulders.
But all the men can see of the women, are shadows.
