It is essential for illustrating the pre-war professional, economical, cultural and social situation of our (Jewish) ancestors. Among these more than 650 datasets I've discovered my grandfather Elias Hauster, romanized both by the Czernowitz authorities and by the directory editors to "Hauster, Ilie". Therefore please check different spellings for the name(s) you are looking for and so perhaps you'll discover your ancestors too.
