[Cz-L]The Jewish Genealogical Society of Montreal - Tuesday evening's excellent presentation

This past Tuesday evening's speaker was Dr. Simon Kreindler,
who provided us with a fascinating glimpse into his family's
odyssey from their homes in Ukraine, Romania, Galicia
and the former Bukovina, including Czernowitz,
to various islands in the Caribbean
and later migration to Canada.

He told us of his growing up years in Barbados,
his family life and explained how he finally ended
up in Toronto, where he and his wife Ruby
have lived for many years.

Simon showed us some wonderful archival photos
along with documents that were instrumental to his
family research. He described his more than 20 years
of genealogical research, his methods and his discoveries
along the way.

Thank you, Simon for coming to Montreal from Toronto
to tell us your family's story.
