The film is very interesting and well done and touching, of course.
I. Biran's story during WWII is very similar to Aharon Appelfeld's story. He
too was a "mascot" of Red Army soldiers.
I am very proud of ALL our IAF fighters, especially those of Bucovinan
descent !

Hi all...The January issue of "Die Stimme" has an article about a
near-Czernowitz born Transnistria survivor who became an Israel Air Force
pilot..the name was Isiu Birnbaum who became Itzchak Biran. An Israeli
filmproducer named Leora Landau made a film about his life .."From There to
Here" (Von da nach hier) which was shown in Israeli Cinemateques and on
Channel 10. I have searched online to try to buy a copy...no luck. Anybody
out there who can help??? Cornel
