In Ukrainian and Russian Baba is a short version of Babushka; like granny. This would make sense for me in context of bakery…
Some people believe, that „Bistró“ originates from Russian „bistra“ (fast): drink fast and leave. Linguist told me, that this is nonsense, but for me it also sounds logically ;)
