Very interesting, dear Edgar !
I liked the Bucharester Program with all those commercial ads.
Jacob Sternberg explains how he discovered the potentials to make a
"modernist" play out of Shalom Aleichem's text.
Sternberg was THE modernist and modernizer of Yiddish Theater .
As about the touring of Romania by those "wandering stars" - just imagine
the harsh conditions in January-February on the roads of Romania almost 80
years ago.
And, we remember here ,"our" Czernowitzer artists Loewendal and Rubinger.
Thank you,
Best wishes,
Irene
