The same happened with Univertaetsgasse because they canceled the
Synagogengasse. No. 9 where I lived is No. 15.

The Dreifaltigkeitsgasse, because of its length is one of the streets
that had its numbers changed. In 2006 when we visited that street one
of us new the exact former number near the corner of Albertinengasse.
The difference for odd numbers was about 16 that is 8 buildings. I
suppose in this case the reason was the abolishment of adding an a to
numbers and giving a new running sequence. So what you see on Google
maps or Yandex if you look at 33 is not the
original one.
I can't be sure but I have a vague memory of being told as a child
that corner Stefaniegasse/Dreifaltigkeitsgasse housed some
organization on the basement level. Later it was a quite big shop, as
can be seen even now, but only entrance from Stefanieg..

May be it is that one. Have to look up Celan's poems for a clue - he
always wrote about things that happened to him or his relatives. But
the interpretation might take another 1000 years.....
