Mimi,
Mimi, you say
It runs from Rosh to Monasteriska,
And then what ? it turns back?
The watershed of Cz runs from the Austria platz
elevation 265 West and East
Any drop of water North of that line goes to
the Prut.
South of it - flows into the Siret.
They will unite in the Danube near Galatz.
Then into the Black Sea and by Gibraltar into
 the Atlantic.
   Passing Verrazano bridge these waters
will go ashore at Manhattan Lower East Side looking
what is left of Czernowitzer emigrants.

The Klokuchka-Bach (Klokuchka brook) runs between Rosch and
Manasteriska.
My paternal grandparents lived in Manasteriska on the "Verlaengerte
Pumnulgasse"
and their backyard adjoined the Klokutchka-Bach.
This small brook was heavily populated by frogs.
One of the stories I was told, was that my grandmother kept a barrel
in which she collected rainwater to be used by her and my four aunts
to wash their hair.
One of my uncles caught some frogs and put them in the barrel
with obvious consequences.
