Dear all,
After a lengthy effort to trace my family roots in Bucovina back to the earl=
y 1800's, I am about to become a Romanian citizen myself.=20
The last hurdle I face is the language test. Unfortunately, they will not te=
st me on Bucoviner Deutsch, which I speak fluently, but on Romanian, whose o=
nly useful expression I know is "nu =C8=99tiu." This won't get me to the fin=
ish line. I am studying furiously but making only slow progress.=20
I'd like to know what the language test at the embassy consists of. All they=
told me is to be ready for a "simple conversation," but what does that actu=
ally mean and what types of questions do the ask?
Has anyone of you gone through this ordeal or know someone who has? Any inpu=
t would be greatly appreciated.=20
