Hello Bernard and all who are interested in going to Czernowitz/
Chernivtsi,
I have been told by a reliable source that it is easy
and pleasant to go to Chernivtsi by train from Kiew.
There are sleeping compartments on the train and I believe
that the train leaves Kiev in the evening and arrives in Czernowitz
in the morning.
A very reliable guide and translator from English to Ukrainian is
Zoya Danilovich.
Many members of this list have used her services before.
She will accompany the visitors wherever they want to go,
suggest other places to visit, and recommend hotels and restaurants.
Her Email address is: <welcome.zoya_at_mail.ru>
Please write her to inquire whether she is free on the dates you plan
to be in Czernowitz and also ask her how much she currently charges
per day.
