Kathrin Power, the coordinator of work-camps for ASF Germany
has asked me to let all of you know that ASF Germany will hold a work-
camp
at the Jewish cemetery of Czernowitz from July 19 till July 30
and will be glad to look for and clear around specific graves.
If you would like the volunteers to clear one particular gravesite,
please write to Kathrin Power, Email-Adress : <post_at_agentur-power.de>
To this I want to add:
The volunteers do not have a list of the location of graves,
If you would like them to clear the area around a specific grave,
please look up its location and send it to Kathrin with your request.
Also: CJCRO will not hold its own work-camp this summer,
therefore I would urge anyone who would like to participate
in the effort to clear the cemetery of weedy vegetation
to join the ASF Germany volunteers, even if only for a few days.
The heavy work will be done by employees of the cemeteries
administration
and since the ASF volunteers are mostly in their sixties and seventies
yet do this work year after year, advanced age is not an excuse
for us not doing the same.
