Today is the 100th Anniversary of the day when the Italian "Allies" fired
the first shots against unsuspecting Austrian positions....which led to a
Front where many Czernowitzers fought (and died).Today there was an order
from Rome to fly the Italian flag....and in the annexed province of South
Tirol the order was refused. So NO Italian flags but some red-white-red
bunting appeared. My uncles who were there would have stood up an cheered!.
