Banyliv Pidhirnyi [Ukrainian: Банилів-Підгірний; Romanian: Bănila pe Siret or Bănila Moldovenească] is indeed where you describe.
I was there with my 2 sons in July 2013 and after a long search we found a Jewish cemetery in the woods. Definitely Jewish gravestones.
I'll speak about this trip and the project that it initiated, in the IAJGS conference / Bukovina BOF session in Jersusalem on July 6th at 12:30.
By the way, I learned later that in that village there are 4 Jewish cemeteries.

Thank you Bruce for letting us know. You mention Banyliv,
is this Banyliv which is to the West - Northwest of Czernowitz,
or Banyliv Pidhirnyi which is southwest of Czernowitz?
A group of us went to Banyliv Pidhirnyi in 2008 and we did find
a small Jewish cemetery there. Interestingly we also found in that cemetery
a number of gravestones which had crosses on them.
Quite possibly these are on the graves of Subotniki.
