The Banyliv found among JOWBR records is not Banyliv PIdhirnyi - it’s the
one known by the following names: Banyliv [Ukr], B?nila pe Ceremu? [Rom],
Rus-Banila [Ger], Banilov [Rus], Banilla Ruska [Pol], Russish Banilya,
Russisch Banilla, Russkiy Banilov, B?nila Ruseasc?. It lies between
Waschkoutz (Vashkivts) and Wiznitz (Vizhnitsa), on the northern border of
Bukovina with Galicia, 25 miles E of Chernivtsi (Tschernowitz), 11 miles
SW of Snyatyn, Galicia.
