In this morning’s email from the IAJGS conference, one from
Mogilev-Podolskiy area coordinator, Phyllis Berenson:
*****
Hello !
I'm pleased to tell you that our 6th Annual M-P area Birds of a
Feather meeting at theIAJGS conference is scheduled for Thursday, July 9
at 12:30 in Delila. Feel free to bring a sandwich.
SURPRISE [not quite] guest: Rachel Leigh, daughter of Jacob Drucker
will be attending our meeting and will speak briefly. Jacob Drucker was
forced by the Nazis to serve as a grave digger in M-P. He mapped the
cemetery as graves were dug. Rachel has written a book about her father.
*****
Hope to hear more. Sylvie Gsell has stayed in contact with Rachel Leigh
and I’m sure Sylvie will have further news for us.
