My cousin and I were in Czernowitz in June for five extraordinary days and Zoya was our
guide. When we departed we left a good friend behind. When questioned she did talk of
how difficult the economy had become but she never complained personally, too elegant
a person to cast a shadow over our experience of being in the home of our family. If the
question being asked is what can we do, does that mean how can we send her money?
If that is so, I would suggest that for those who want to help we entrust a Group Member
who is on the way to Czernowitz with funds or by any other means that would safely deliver
her help. My only regret I had with my Czernowitz visit was I left behind a person who I care for
and who is in need. I thank IIana, Anny, Shelley and Sylvia for bringing my attention to this
concern.
