One question (for all on the list): I have noticed in some photos of
graves this particular type of marker, which had a plaque set in a
surround of what looks like concrete.

Can any of you tell me whether there is anything particular about this
form: e.g. from a certain era, a means of recovering and preserving an
older/damaged stone, etc.
