All those "master workers" disappeared. I can still hear them shouting
and knives as well as pots and pans were being fixed. some pots looked
like having patches on them (just like in the 50s when patches were
modern and sewn on where needed or not). One thing is certain though
it "didn't create employment" old things were patched up long before
thrown away. One American guest, in the 50s, using our tooth paste
tube from the middle told us she does that to "create employment" we
created work for those who took their business on their shoulders or a
turning stone on a cart.
