Dear Hedwig,
Thank you so much for giving Heidi Behm my email address. I do hope she
contacts me in her next visit to Santiago.
Ena Bronstein was very well known as a super talented student when I myself
was studying at the National Conservatory in Santiago. I was probably a bit
younger than her, and I remember my piano teacher talking admiringly about
her. This teacher told me about her and some other exceptional piano
students who were Jewish. Maybe she wanted me to get excited about putting a
little more effort on my piano studying.
Thanks again and wishing you all the best,
Sally Bendersky

Hi Edgar, I have a host from Vienna, born in Santiago di Chile, Heidi Behm,
she worked in a Jewish
elderly home for many years, took biographies from emigrants from Europe and
wrote some books
about them, She knows that I am interested about Czernowitz, so she gave me
a biography of Jasha Bronstein, born in Atachi, Basarabia and studied in
Czernowitz some years violin with Flohr..He wrote that his happiest years in
the whole life were in Czernowitz. He emigrated to Peru, than to Chile and
send to his girlfriend Gelband, a native Czernotzer, the affidavit for
Chile, before the town became sowjet
His daughter , Ena Bronstein /Barton, a famous pianist and Professor for
Piano at the University of Princetown, I took her in my new book "Jewish
women in performing arts.". Are you interested in the Bio of Jasha?
I asked her about Samuel del Campo and gave her the mail/adress of Sally
Benderski, to make contact...She went every year to Santiago and to
Israel..She lives in Vienna
-Best regards from Haifa
Hedwig-
