Dear Iris, hello Czernowitzers,
there has been a large family of musicians called Hoenigsberg:
Adolf Abraham Hönigsberg, b. 08.01.1896 Kolomea, trumpet player in Vienna
and Bukarest, then IPO
Rosa Hönigsberg, née Feuermann 28.12.1908 Kolomea, singer, sister of
Emanuel Feuermann, married to Adolf Hönigsberg
Hermann / Hersch Hönigsberg, b. 18.06.1906 Witznitz, violinist in Vienna
Adele / Eidel Hönigsberg, b. 04. or 26. June or January 1902 or 1903
Kolomea, piano teacher
Josef Hönigsberg, b. 16.09.1899 Witznitz, conductor
Their father was Samuel / Shmuel Hersch Hönigsberg, b. 17.01.1868 Kolomea,
musician,
mother maybe Regina or Hudel Hönigsberg
Probably other branches of the family:
Zofja Hönigsberg false Arbeit, b. 15.11.1911 Stanislau, music student in
Vienna
Hedwig Hönigsberg, b. 17.02.1927 Vienna, pianist, piano teacher (father
Isidor)
Maybe it helps you, Iris. Anyway I will be grateful for any additional
information on these musicians ( and to avoid misinterpretation: I'm used
to write days first, then months).
Best
Primavera
