Hello all,
Our Pilot Project tem - Mrs. Sara Sweiry, Mr. Nathan Kinsbrunner and myself have completed yesterday
the survey in the last planned site – Kyseliv Jewish memorial.
See below the list of sites and the reports from our Mobile App (using Gazpacho tool).
All this information will be loaded soon into our project website and become available to all.
We have prepared recommendations per site (listed in the reports). We will soon meet to decide how to implement
the recommendations and especially how to raise funding for it.
This is the time to thank all those that helped coordinating the meetings with local official and especially
Mr. Yochanan Ron-Singer, Czernowitz Rabbi Menachem Glisnshtain and Mr. Leonid Milman, head of the Czernowitz Jewish Community.

Kyselytsi: Monument for 150 Jews murdered on 29-30 July 1941.

Stanivtsi - Stanestie pe Ceremus Unter: Jewish cemetery, very big but all overgrown so you can see only the edge of the field and the edge of some tombstones.

Draczynetz/Drazhyntsi: A memorial for the Drazynets Jews that were murdered in July 1941.

Zadova : A Jewish cemetery in the village. Grass is cut by a young juvenile and eaten by a goat.

Storozhynets: Jewish cemetery – part is well taken care of and part is neglected/overgrown.

Czerecz: A mass grave supposedly exists in the forest behind the lake, across from the village church. We didn’t find it.

Banyliv on Siret (Pidhirnyi): A Jewish cemetery in the forest. Had a good surprise – the cemetery was cleaned by the village authority and we found there tombstones of relatives of delegation members - Sara Sweiry and Baruch Eylon.

Davydivtsi (Davideni) – No cemetery and no synagogue in this village. Jews were buried in Banyliv per Siret.

Chudey (Chudyn): There is a memorial for the Jews that were murdered in WWII near the prison (now a school) and a big Jewish cemetery with difficult access to it.

Budinets: There is a memorial for the Jews that were murdered in WWII. The memorial is on the right, 2km along the road from Budinets to Chudey.

Beregomet: The cemetery was totally destroyed and stones removed during the Russian era. Stones were used for construction.
There is a memorial room with 3 symbolic graves.

Hlyboka: Jewish cemetery in the yard of a private owner.
