Hi, Mimi , do you mean #450-5?
Photo 450-5 in Hebrew: gravestone of Perl Goltzberg , who was murdered {
Neherga al Kidush Hashem } in the month of Siwan 5702 = June 1942 !
The date (L ?) 1941 was written with Cyrillic letters .
Somewhere there is a mistake (?).
Regards,
Irene

Subject: Re: [Cz-L] Hlyboka - Site Survey Report
Good morning All,
From the summer of 1944 till we left the northern Bukovina in the summer of
1945, my father and a number of his Czernowitz high school friends worked at
a methyl alcohol factory located in Hliboka.
At that time I am absolutely sure that there were no Jewish residents in the
village.
I do not know whether there had been a Jewish community there before the
war.
The photograph of one of the gravestones, number 5 50-5, astonishes me, The
date on it is 1941, yet the inscription is in Hebrew and in either Russian
or Ukrainian.
Can anyone read the month? Is this gravestone from the early part of 1941,
before the Russians left and the Romanians returned?
Mimi
