Even though the condition of the Jewish cemetery is much improved since 2001 or 2006,
Cemeteries do not improve the lives of the people who burry their dead in them.
The person who has done most to improve the status of Jewish life in Chernivtsi
Is the local Chabad rabbi, Menachem Mendel Glitzenshtain.
Jews and non-Jews alike have to put up with a bad economic situation,
There may be Anti Jewish bias, but I have not met any.
Certainly, Chmielnitzki, Bandera, Petlura and others are honored as national heroes
And nowhere is it mentioned how many Jews were killed by their followers.
But is this not the case with all national heroes of all nations?

While ARSP started earlier this week, SVIT will finish its work-camp by the end of the week. Also volunteers of the Jewish community joined the clean-up. Old time Czernowitzers Mimi Taylor and Sylvia de Swaan visited the volunteers of all groups in the morning.
