My parents both spoke Roumanian, and my father spoke some German, having
moved to Czernowitz as a teenager. They married in 1940
My mother and her 2 siblings spoke only German to each other until they
passed away in the 1990s. Never a word of yiddish.

As far as prejudice - yes on my grandparents part. They spoke yiddish
coming from Galicia, but conducted themselves in czernowitz in german only.
My grandfather started as a poor watch-maker, and became a fairly properous
