Dear List Members,

Eliezer Shteynbarg was without a doubt a literary giant of Yiddish, and I
well remember Mrs. Evgenia Finkel of the Yiddish Culture Society of
Chernivtsi taking me to see his final resting place at the Jewish
Cemetery. This was nearly 20 years ago.

It seems to your moderators that this current discussion has completely
played out with a pretty thorough airing of views related to Yiddish in
Czernowitz, especially in relation to Shteynbarg. So, with thanks to
those that participated, this thread now ends, and your continuing
participation on additional topics is encouraged.
