Oh how sad and what a loss!
She truly was the Grande Dame of Czernowitz.
and will be terribly missed.
My very deepest sympathies to her family and
friends. May her memory live on and be a comfort
to all who knew this lovely, gifted lady.

Czernowitzers, dear friends,
We are faced with an irreplaceable loss. I am deeply shocked and it is my
sad duty to announce the sudden loss of Hedwig Brenner, our friend and
Grande Dame of Czernowitz, who passed away today at the age of 98 years.
Only yesterday Hedwig addressed to all of us a short message and she
concluded with the words "Der Mensch denkt, Gott lenkt!" [Man proposes, God
disposes!] - Hedwig will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers are
with her family and friends.
