My wife is a Kerner descended from a Kerner family of Toporivtsi
(Toporwitz), located a little way northeast of Czernowitz. She's also
related by marriage to the Winkler and Lohner families from the same town.
To help support my genealogy work, and that of other families from the
area, I've created a "Jewish Families of Czernowitz-Sadhora-Storojinet,
Bukovina" project at Geni.com:
https://www.geni.com/projects/Jewish-Families-of-Czernowitz-Sadhora-Storojinet-Bukovina/40711
Since Geni is one of the major genealogy sites online, and allows free
accounts and Google search access to their One World Tree, I believe it's a
good place to bridge the genealogy of families and the history of these
towns. If anyone believes I've gotten any facts wrong on the page, please
let me know.
